This week’s spotlight is on New Age Ag Supply, a trusted name in wholesale farm machinery led by Scott Anderson in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Scott has built a strong reputation for sourcing high-quality, late-model equipment that serious buyers can count on. His dealership stands out for offering machines that are field-ready, competitively priced, and maintained with care.
A Legacy of Agricultural Innovation
Scott Anderson spoke to us about why he founded New Age Ag Supply and the inspiration he drew from his father, Kevin Anderson.
We have been in the farm Machinery business, both manufacturing and building a brand around farm machinery, for forty years. The first company was called Anderson Machine, and my dad invented a product called the Anderson Opener, which was a seed boot that would agronomically place the fertilizer below the seed and small grains on a Concord-type air seeder.
My dad became famous around the world and the no-till industry. This was the first way you could actually put fertilizer in the ground underneath the seed, where see needed it, rather than spreading the fertilizer and tilling it in. He had several pants patents in the US and Canada, and spoke at conferences in Ukraine and Kazhakstan and Germany. And then the Anderson Machine business stemmed into a partnership with a guy named Michael Horsch in Germany, and my dad brought the German Horsch line over to the United States and now Horsch is one of the largest non-John Deere, non-Case machinery companies in the world.
Scott explains that his experiences working with his father led him to where he is now.
That’s kind of what I’ve been involved with growing up, and while I worked on the farm like most farm kids, there’s not always stuff to do on the farm all the time. However, since we had a manufacturing company, I learned how to weld before I could drive, and we would be fabricating steel to make Dad’s invention.
And so that’s kind of the foundation of New Age Ag Supply, being a disgruntled farmer who knows there’s a better way than paying what the standard dealership is charging to get your machinery costs down. If you buy enough farm machinery, you can get a wholesale discount, and with no overhead limiting your expense, you’re able to sell that machine for far less than what a traditional dealer could sell it for because of the taking trades and all their other overhead.
A Dealer Focused on Quality and Value
New Age Ag Supply’s wholesale inventory is carefully selected and constantly refreshed. Rather than simply listing whatever comes through the door, Scott curates a lineup that appeals to farmers looking for dependable performance and modern features. Many of the tractors, combines, and sprayers available are late-model machines with low hours and excellent specifications.
Buyers can expect to see equipment such as 9R series tractors, X9 combines, and high-capacity sprayers, all chosen for their strong resale value and reliability in the field. Scott’s hands-on experience and transparent approach have made New Age Ag Supply a go-to destination for those who want dealership-level quality without the markup.
A Growing Presence in the Ag Market
Based in Aberdeen, New Age Ag Supply has quickly gained recognition across the Midwest and Canada. The business has participated in major consignment auctions and is expanding its reach through digital listings, including Tractor Tuesday, where buyers nationwide can explore its inventory. That presence reflects Scott’s commitment to making quality equipment accessible to more farmers, whether they’re upgrading for next season or expanding their operation.
As harvest winds down and attention turns toward next year’s plans, this is the ideal moment to secure equipment before spring demand rises. New Age Ag Supply’s current lineup features some of the most desirable models on the market, and turnover is quick. For anyone looking to lock in a high-spec tractor or combine before prices climb, now is the time to reach out.
