Big tractors may handle the planting, tillage and other heavy fieldwork, but there are plenty of jobs around a farm that do not require hundreds of horsepower.

Kioti is targeting those everyday tasks with its new CK40 Series compact tractors, a three-model lineup designed around mowing, loader work, snow removal and general property maintenance. The new series includes the CK2640, CK3540 and CK4040, with horsepower ranging from 24.5 to 39.5.

Three Models From 24.5 to 39.5 Horsepower

The CK40 lineup starts with the CK2640, powered by a 24.5-horsepower diesel engine. The CK3540 steps up to 35 horsepower, while the CK4040 tops the range at 39.5 horsepower.

All three models are available in multiple configurations, including premium SE and cab-equipped versions, giving buyers the ability to choose between a relatively straightforward compact tractor and a more comfortable, feature-rich machine.

Despite their smaller size, Kioti is emphasizing hydraulic performance and lifting ability as key strengths of the new lineup. The CK2640, for example, has a three-point hitch lift capacity of 2,429 pounds, giving the smallest tractor in the series enough capacity to handle a variety of implements.

More Control for Loader Work

Loader operation is another area where Kioti has focused its attention.

Premium CK40 models feature a multifunction loader joystick with an eight-quadrant control pattern rather than a conventional four-quadrant arrangement. The additional control positions allow operators to combine loader movements, making it possible to perform functions such as raising and curling the bucket at the same time.

The design is intended to make loader operation more intuitive, particularly for less experienced operators. On a farm where multiple family members or employees may use the same tractor, easier controls could make a compact machine more accessible for everyday chores.

That versatility is an important part of the CK40’s appeal. A compact tractor equipped with a loader can move dirt, gravel, snow, feed and other materials without tying up a larger tractor that may be needed elsewhere on the operation.

Built With Mowing in Mind

Kioti is also putting an emphasis on mowing performance with the new series.

Compact tractors often spend a significant amount of their working lives maintaining areas around farm buildings, field edges, driveways and other spaces where a larger tractor is impractical. The CK40 Series is designed to handle those jobs while remaining versatile enough to switch to loader work and other tasks.

That ability to move between jobs is where compact tractors can make sense even on operations built around much larger equipment. A 300-horsepower tractor may be essential when it is time to work the field, but it is rarely the most efficient machine for mowing around buildings or clearing snow from a driveway.

New Display Brings Information Together

Kioti has also equipped the CK40 Series with an LCD instrument display designed to give operators access to machine information in one place.

The display provides information on tractor functions and operating conditions while contributing to a more modern operator environment. Combined with the available cab configurations, the new interface reflects Kioti’s effort to bring some of the convenience features found on larger tractors into the compact segment.

Hydrostatic transmission options are also available across the CK40 lineup, using twin pedals to control forward and reverse movement. For jobs that involve frequent changes of direction, particularly loader work and mowing in tight spaces, the setup can simplify operation compared with repeatedly shifting a conventional transmission.

A Smaller Tractor for the Jobs Between Fieldwork

The CK40 Series is not designed to compete with the higher-horsepower machines. Its role is different.

Farms still have driveways to maintain, snow to clear, grass to mow and materials to move. There are also plenty of situations where maneuverability matters more than raw horsepower, particularly when working around buildings and other confined spaces.

With the CK40 Series, Kioti is betting that a tractor capable of moving easily between those jobs can earn its place on a farm, even when much larger machines are parked in the same shed.

For farmers looking for a smaller support tractor, the new CK2640, CK3540 and CK4040 offer three horsepower levels along with an increased focus on loader control, mowing and operator convenience. Kioti is making the case that there is plenty of work for them to do around the farm.
