When the gates open at the 2026 Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa, AGCO plans to use the event for more than showing farmers its latest equipment.

The company will introduce new machinery from Fendt and Massey Ferguson, demonstrate precision and autonomous technology from PTx, and host Fendt’s first international press conference on U.S. soil. Together, the announcements provide a good look at where AGCO is investing and the growing importance of North America to its plans.

“Farm Progress Show is where we put our newest technology directly in farmers’ hands, and this year we are doing it in front of the world,” AGCO Chairman, President and CEO Eric Hansotia said. “Fendt is holding its first international press conference on U.S. soil, which reaffirms how important North America is to our growth plans.”

Three New Fendt Products Are Coming

AGCO is keeping some details under wraps until the show, but has confirmed Fendt will unveil three new products spanning its tractor and planter platforms.

Those introductions will join the recently updated Fendt 500 Vario Gen4 and 800 Vario Gen5 tractors. Fendt will also preview new transport-speed options and display the IDEAL combine ahead of the Fendt Harvest Tour’s return to the Midwest in October.

The setting is notable. Fendt will hold its first U.S.-based international press conference Sept. 2, bringing journalists and content creators from Europe, North America and South America to Iowa. That’s an unusually global spotlight for an American farm show and another sign of AGCO’s effort to expand Fendt’s presence in North America.

Massey Ferguson Adds New Iron

Massey Ferguson will introduce the N-Series Split/Narrow Row Planter, combining factory-installed Precision Planting technology with a modular design. The brand will also show its next-generation double baler, which uses an inline dual-bale system designed to speed bale collection.

On the tractor side, the MF 5S Series will be shown with the Dyna-VT continuously variable transmission, expanding the technology available in Massey Ferguson’s midrange lineup.

The introductions also show how AGCO is increasingly sharing technology across its portfolio, particularly by bringing Precision Planting systems into equipment sold under its machinery brands.

PTx Pushes Toward Smarter Existing Equipment

Some of AGCO’s most interesting technology in Boone won’t necessarily require buying a new tractor.

PTx and Precision Planting will showcase systems including ArrowTube seed orientation, SymphonyVision | Duo camera-based spraying, DrySet Air metering and monitoring for air seeders, and SmokeRow weed control for field edges.

PTx Trimble will also demonstrate FarmENGAGE fleet management software and OutRun autonomous equipment systems. OutRun is especially notable because AGCO is developing autonomy around harvest and tillage applications while emphasizing technology that can work with existing and mixed fleets.

For farmers facing high equipment costs, the ability to add automation and precision technology to machinery already in the shed could prove just as important as the new machines being unveiled alongside it.

A Bigger Stage for AGCO

There will be plenty of new iron to see when AGCO pulls the covers off its latest equipment in Boone, but the company’s Farm Progress Show lineup also reveals a broader strategy.

Massey Ferguson continues to expand its machinery lineup while incorporating more technology from elsewhere within AGCO. PTx is pushing precision and autonomy toward mixed fleets and existing equipment. Fendt, meanwhile, is getting an increasingly prominent stage in North America.

Holding Fendt’s first international U.S. press conference at Farm Progress Show makes that particularly clear. When a global manufacturer brings journalists from three continents to Iowa and saves three Fendt product introductions for the occasion, AGCO clearly wants the agricultural world watching Boone.
